Entity Defence Insurance is designed to cover the business (rather than the directors) against claims or investigations that result from the actions of the employees or directors, but where the action is brought against the business instead of the individuals responsible. This could include Identity Fraud, Corporate Manslaughter, Breach of Contract or regulatory breaches. The policy can extend to include PR assistance to assist the company in dealing with the press in the event that a claim involves adverse media attention.
An Entity Defence policy is offered as an optional extra with some Directors and Officers policies.
